### Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or other licensed healthcare provider. The LVN is responsible for delivering direct patient care, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, documenting care, and supporting the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

### Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-   Provide direct nursing care to patients according to established care plans and physician/provider orders.
-   Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses.
-   Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
-   Assist physicians, Registered Nurses, and other healthcare providers with patient care and procedures.
-   Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
-   Collect specimens and perform assigned nursing procedures.
-   Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, care plans, and health maintenance.
-   Follow infection prevention and control procedures and maintain patient safety standards.
-   Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly report concerns to the supervising nurse or provider.
-   Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
-   Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide coordinated patient care.
-   Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
-   Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
-   Perform additional duties as assigned.

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   Current and unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
-   Current CPR/BLS certification.
-   Graduate of an accredited Vocational Nursing program.
-   Previous nursing experience preferred.
-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-   Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a healthcare team.
-   Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.

-   Knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and infection control principles.
-   Ability to safely administer medications and perform nursing treatments.
-   Strong clinical observation and assessment skills.
-   Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

-   Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform patient care activities throughout the workday.
-   Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds as needed for clinical equipment and supplies.
-   Ability to lift and manipulate a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) coil (approximately 10 pounds)during patient treatments, following physician-established treatment protocols.
-   Manual dexterity to perform nursing procedures and operate clinical and neurodiagnostic equipment.
-   Ability to sit, stand, and move between exam rooms for extended periods while providing patient care.

Work Environment

-   Primarily based in an outpatient neurology clinic providing patient-centered neurological care.
-   Collaborative work environment involving neurologists, advanced practice providers, EEG technologists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
-   Standard daytime clinic hours with no routine weekends, evenings, holidays, or on-call responsibilities for the current position.
-   The role may evolve to support additional outpatient neurological services and affiliated clinical programs as organizational needs grow.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday,  8 AM–5 PM

Salary Range

-   Expected base salary range: $80k – $95k annually.
-   Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
