## Description

We're looking for an **AI Engineer** to join a small, fast-moving AI product development studio that builds intelligent software systems for clients who want AI in production, not slide decks, not demos, not proofs of concept that never ship. You will work directly with senior leadership on real client problems, own meaningful pieces of development end to end from UX to deployment, and bring an informed opinion on the best tools and approaches available.

This is not a junior engineer takes tickets role. We have agents that do that. We are looking for someone who thinks in systems, owns execution, and checks their own work. You do not have to know every part of the stack on day one, but you need to be the kind of person who is actively getting better every quarter and treats the AI tooling landscape as a reason to stay sharp, not a reason to feel overwhelmed.

### Why You'll Want to Join

- You will be paid in **USD** (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
- **Paid Time Off** in accordance with company policy
- Observance of **Holidays** per company guidelines
- **100% remote setup**, async-default with real-time collaboration when it matters
- Work directly with senior leadership on real client problems, not isolated R&D side quests
- Be part of a small, ambitious team where your work is visible and your opinion is heard

### What You'll Work On

**AI-Native Product Development**

- Build and ship AI-powered features and systems with LLMs at the core of the application logic
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent daily to produce production-quality code, not just as a typing assistant
- Work with the Anthropic SDK and AI frameworks to design reliable, context-aware systems
- Own solution delivery from initial design through deployment and iteration

**Full-Stack Engineering**

- Write production-quality Python and JavaScript or TypeScript across backend and frontend
- Build and maintain services, APIs, and codebase architecture with an eye on long-term maintainability
- Develop frontend interfaces with enough taste and AI savvy to produce clean, functional UIs
- Work across the stack: GCP, FastAPI, React and Vite, Firestore and Postgres, Cloud Run, GitHub

**Systems Thinking and Delivery**

- Translate ambiguous client problems into structured technical solutions
- Raise risks early, write things down, and ask clarifying questions before they become emergencies
- Check your own work before asking anyone else to review it
- Contribute to end-to-end delivery across client engagements

### What You Bring

- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript with literacy in both and genuine interest in developing the craft further
- Active daily use of Claude Code, Cursor, or a comparable AI coding tool as a primary development workflow
- Solid software engineering fundamentals including service design, codebase structure, and deployment basics
- Some prior exposure to cloud services and deployments
- Frontend literacy and enough taste in UI to produce decent pages with AI assistance
- Strong written communication: you document decisions, flag risks early, and ask clarifying questions before problems escalate
- Curiosity, optimism, and a bias toward running the experiment rather than arguing about it

### Nice to Have

- Experience shipping applications where LLMs drive core application logic including tools, MCP, and context engineering
- GCP experience specifically Cloud Run, Firestore or Postgres, Pub/Sub, and IAM
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or custom orchestration with the Anthropic SDK
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or equivalent
- Strong design sensibility that goes beyond functional to visually polished

### How to Apply

Please include:

1. Your **updated resume**
2. A **portfolio link** showing examples of AI-powered or full-stack projects you have built and shipped
3. A **short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes)** walking through one project you are proud of, what you built, how you used AI coding tools in the process, and what you would do differently

**Only candidates who submit both a portfolio and Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.**

If you build things that actually ship, use AI to pay more attention to what matters rather than less, and want to work on real problems with a team that values directness and craft, this role gives you the technical scope and the creative latitude to do your best work.
