Are you an experienced **Welding Inspector** looking to secure your next opportunity in the mining and heavy industrial sector?

We are currently inviting **Expressions of Interest (EOI)** from qualified and motivated Welding Inspectors for upcoming **shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance projects** across major mining, mineral processing, port, and industrial operations in the **Gladstone region**.

As project activity continues to expand, we are seeking experienced professionals who can support high-quality project delivery and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

### About the Role

As a Welding Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring weld quality, fabrication compliance, and maintenance standards are achieved throughout shutdown and maintenance campaigns.

Responsibilities may include:

-   Conducting welding inspections on fixed plant, piping, pressure equipment, and structural steel
-   Verifying compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and relevant standards
-   Reviewing weld maps, inspection reports, material traceability records, and quality documentation
-   Monitoring fabrication, repair, and maintenance activities throughout project execution
-   Coordinating and witnessing non-destructive testing (NDT) activities
-   Identifying defects, non-conformances, and corrective actions
-   Liaising with QA/QC personnel, supervisors, contractors, and client representatives
-   Maintaining accurate inspection records and project documentation
-   Supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives on site

## Requirements

**What We're Looking For**

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

-   Previous experience as a Welding Inspector within mining, shutdowns, maintenance, construction, fabrication, or heavy industrial environments
-   Strong knowledge of welding inspection techniques and industry standards
-   Experience inspecting structural, piping, and mechanical maintenance works
-   Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, and technical specifications
-   Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

### Essential Requirements

-   Recognised Welding Inspector qualification (CSWIP 3.1, WTIA, AWS CWI, or equivalent)
-   Current Australian Driver's Licence
-   Construction White Card
-   Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol testing
-   Full Australian working rights

### Highly Desirable

-   Previous shutdown and turnaround experience
-   Experience within mining, mineral processing, LNG, ports, power generation, or heavy industry
-   NDT qualifications or experience working closely with NDT providers
-   Knowledge of AS/NZS, ISO, and relevant welding codes and standards
-   Mechanical or Boilermaker Trade Qualification
-   Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry certifications
-   Experience with QA/QC management systems and ITPs
-   Local Gladstone or Central Queensland industry experience
