### About Opalus and OPAL

Opalus Investments Limited is developing OPAL, an AI-powered SaaS business operating platform for SMEs. OPAL places accounting at the core and connects finance, customers, people, projects, documents and workflow in one secure operating environment. We are establishing our software development team and office in Kochi, Kerala.

### The opportunity

Own the product direction and delivery of OPAL’s connected SaaS platform, translating customer, accounting and operational needs into a clear roadmap and an executable backlog.

### What you’ll do

-   Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, outcomes and release priorities.
-   Own the product backlog, acceptance criteria and sprint priorities in partnership with engineering and design.
-   Gather and reconcile requirements across accounting, banking, CRM, people, recruitment, projects, documents and workflow.
-   Translate Australian accounting, payroll and compliance requirements into product capabilities and testable outcomes.
-   Shape module packaging, product analytics and success measures using customer and operational evidence.
-   Lead product life-cycle management from discovery and validation through release and improvement.
-   Coordinate architecture, engineering, UX, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders around release scope and dependencies.
-   Define localisation and multi-language requirements and support integration planning with external partners.

Opalus Investments Limited is developing OPAL, an AI-powered SaaS business operating platform for small and medium-sized businesses. With accounting at its core, OPAL is designed to connect finance, banking, customers, people, recruitment, projects, documents, workflow and reporting in one secure operating environment. A permissioned AI layer is being designed across the connected business record to help users understand information, prepare work and take controlled action with appropriate approvals and audit trails.

The company has completed a high-fidelity working prototype and is building the production-grade platform for an initial Australian release. Opalus is now establishing a software development office and multidisciplinary product team in Kochi, Kerala, to help take OPAL through engineering, testing, release and ongoing product development.

## Requirements

### What you bring

-   8–15 years of demonstrated product ownership or product management experience in SaaS, ERP, accounting or FinTech products.
-   Strong command of agile product delivery, backlog management, user stories and acceptance criteria.
-   Ability to work with complex workflows and multi-tenant SaaS concepts.
-   Experience coordinating with engineering, UX, QA, architecture, DevOps and business stakeholders, with strong stakeholder facilitation, prioritisation, written communication and decision-making skills.
-   Experience defining product KPIs and using evidence to guide roadmap decisions.
-   Experience with payroll, recruitment, CRM or workflow integrations.

### Preferred experience

-   Experience working with API-led products.
-   Exposure to Australian accounting products such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online Australia or Reckon.
-   Understanding of GST, BAS, PAYG and superannuation workflows.
-   Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent product-delivery tooling.
-   Degree in Engineering.

### Location requirement

This position is based in Kochi, Kerala, India. Applicants must already be based in Kochi or be willing to relocate to Kochi.

You must be eligible to work in India.
