### Cloudflare Solutions Engineer

**Up to £65,000**

**Hybrid from any of our Hub Offices with some travel expected.**

Focus Group is a £300m-revenue, 1,400-person managed service provider backed by Hg Capital, delivering essential business technology to over 30,000 SME customers.

We're also Cloudflare's sole UKI Design Partner for Cloudflare One (CF1). We're looking for a Senior Cloudflare Solutions Engineer to take technical ownership of Cloudflare delivery, leading CF1 design partner engagements and wider projects from detailed design through build, migration and customer onboarding.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role covering the full Cloudflare platform — Zero Trust and SASE (Secure Access Service Edge), Application Security, and the developer and AI platform — with occasional UK travel for customer workshops and go-lives.

### What you'll be doing

-   Acting as senior technical lead on CF1 and wider Cloudflare projects, from design through build, migration and hand-over
-   Configuring and deploying Cloudflare One: Zero Trust (Access, Gateway, WARP, DEX), Magic WAN and core platform services
-   Owning design and build of Cloudflare Application Security: WAF (Web Application Firewall), Bot Management, DDoS mitigation, Rate Limiting and API Security
-   Leading customer onboarding, ensuring full adoption of contracted products
-   Producing Low-Level Designs, build documents and as-built hand-over packs
-   Acting as technical escalation point for complex support cases, including customers under active attack
-   Mentoring engineers and supporting certification paths
-   Extending our practice into the developer and AI platform (Workers, Workers AI, R2, D1, Pages)
-   Supporting pre-sales where deep Cloudflare expertise is needed

### What we're looking for

-   Hands-on experience designing, building and supporting Cloudflare One Zero Trust in production; Cloudflare certification preferred
-   Strong understanding of Cloudflare Application Security and SASE/SSE platforms (Cloudflare One, Zscaler, Netskope, Cato or similar)
-   Deep knowledge of Zero Trust technologies (ZTNA, SWG, RBI, DLP, CASB) and core internet/security protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP, SSO/SAML)
-   Track record leading multi-product or multi-site technical delivery end to end
-   Strong communication skills, confident with technical and non-technical stakeholders
-   Calm under pressure during attacks, cut-overs and migrations
-   Full UK driving licence, with some travel to customer sites

**Desirable:** Cloudflare Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent; wider security certifications (CISSP, CCNP); Microsoft Entra ID/Intune experience; public cloud networking (Azure/AWS); exposure to MSP or partner delivery models.
