## Description

GSG Impact is a global network of National Partners working to build impact economies that mobilise capital for measurable social and environmental impact. Through its network of National Partners across more than 48 countries, GSG Impact works with governments, investors, regulators, development finance institutions, and ecosystem actors to strengthen the enabling conditions for impact investment and domestic capital mobilisation.

Within GSG Impact, the Knowledge and Impact Practice team develops the evidence base, practical tools and peer-learning opportunities that underpin the organisation’s work. The team strengthens GSG Impact’s global thought leadership, while supporting National Partners to turn local insights and experience into shared global knowledge and to translate international evidence and good practices into locally relevant impact policy advocacy, regulatory reform and implementation.

GSG Impact is seeking a junior-to-mid-level professional to join the Knowledge and Impact Practice team, supporting the delivery of its policy activities at both national and international levels. The role will combine applied policy research and knowledge-product development with technical support to National Partners, stakeholder engagement and international advocacy.

**Position Summary**

The Policy Officer will contribute to advancing GSG Impact’s policy workstream. The position will focus on assisting National Partners to influence policy reform in their local markets, supporting the development of practical knowledge products and tools for policymakers and regulators; and contributing to GSG Impact’s international policy advocacy activities.

**This role is ideal for an early-career policy professional with a strong interest in using public policy and regulation to accelerate the growth of impact investing and the broader impact economy.** Working closely under the guidance of the team leads, the candidate will help move policy initiatives from initial research to delivery and dissemination, translating evidence into accessible policy tools for diverse audiences.

As part of GSG Impact’s matrix structure, the Policy Officer will collaborate with colleagues across the Knowledge and Impact Practice, Regional, Communications, Fundraising, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning teams as well as interact with National Partners and external stakeholders.

 **Key responsibilities:**

**Policy research and support for knowledge-product development**

-   Support the end-to-end development of policy and knowledge products, including research reports, policy briefs, toolkits, case studies, and training materials for policymakers and practitioners .
-   Contribute to research approaches and workplans by gathering evidence, conducting literature/regulatory reviews, international benchmarking, and stakeholder mapping.
-   Help translate technical research findings into clear, concise, and actionable policy insights tailored to different audiences.
-   Monitor emerging policy, regulatory and market developments relevant to impact investing and sustainable finance.

**Technical support to GSG Impact’s National Partners**

-   Assist in providing technical support and guidance to National Partners looking to advance policy and regulatory reforms in their domestic markets.
-   Help National Partners adapt and apply GSG Impact’s policy frameworks, tools, and case studies to their local contexts.
-   Facilitate peer-learning opportunities across the network to capture and share lessons on policy engagement and advocacy approaches.

 **Stakeholder engagement, convening and capacity-building**

-   Assist in organizing, coordinating, and facilitating webinars, workshops, policy dialogues, and peer-learning sessions.
-   Support the development and delivery of training materials and resources for ecosystem actors and partners.
-   Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders across different regions and cultural contexts.

**Policy advocacy**

-   Gather research, evidence, and input to support GSG Impact’s advocacy work in international fora and consultation processes.
-   Draft policy briefings, presentation decks, speaking notes, and talking points for senior leadership and external engagements.
-   Represent GSG Impact in relevant working groups, project meetings, and global events as required, supporting the presentation of research findings.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Development Studies, Law or a related field.
-   2–4 years of relevant professional experience in public policy, preferably within the fields of international development, sustainable finance, impact investing or related areas.
-   Demonstrated experience drafting research outputs, policy briefs, or project reports for policy or practitioner audiences.
-   Strong research, writing, and organizational skills, with an eagerness to learn and the ability to handle multiple tasks under supervision.
-   Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
