## Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Project Designer to support the design and execution of renewable natural gas (RNG), landfill gas-to-energy, biogas upgrading, and gas processing systems. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Engineers and cross-functional teams to develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, equipment layouts, and engineering documentation for custom packaged equipment solutions.

This position is ideal for an experienced SolidWorks professional with a passion for innovative industrial equipment design, process systems, and sustainable energy solutions.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Create 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
-   Design skid-mounted process equipment, piping systems, and mechanical assemblies.
-   Develop equipment layouts, BOMs, and project drawing packages.
-   Collaborate with Project Engineers to deliver cost-effective, safe, and reliable designs.
-   Review vendor drawings and technical submittals.
-   Prepare operating, maintenance, and technical documentation.
-   Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
-   Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and safety requirements.

### Experience

-   3-5 years of mechanical design experience in industrial, energy, gas processing, chemical, or related industries.
-   Strong SolidWorks modeling and drafting experience, including routing.
-   Experience with packaged equipment, piping systems, or skid-mounted equipment preferred.

### Technical Skills

-   Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
-   Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical specifications.
-   Working knowledge of ASME, AISC, ASTM, OSHA, and related industry standards.
-   Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

### Education

-   Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred.

**Employment Details**

Location: Houston, TX

Hours: 40 hours per week. In-Office.

Engagement: W2

Salary: $75k-$85K depending on experience

Travel: No Travel Expected
