## Description

**Key Responsibilities:**

·       Supervise and coordinate day-to-day course maintenance operations across both championship 18-hole courses, the 7-hole par-3 course, and all practice areas.

·       Act as the lead on pesticide, herbicide, and fertiliser application, including planning, calibration, and accurate record-keeping in line with legal and environmental compliance.

·       Support the delivery and oversight of capital improvement projects, including tee and green reconstructions, bunker remodelling, irrigation upgrades, drainage, and path installation.

·       Assist in maintaining high-specification greens, fairways, and bunker systems in line with modern construction standards and performance expectations. Maintain and enforce high standards of course presentation and playability throughout the year.

·       Provide practical leadership on the ground, supporting team development, task allocation, and operational problem-solving.

·       Lead by example in the daily operation and basic maintenance of turf care machinery and equipment; responsible for training team members in correct usage, routine upkeep, and safe operating procedures.

·       Carry out inspections of turf condition, pest and disease monitoring, and recommend agronomic interventions where necessary.

·       Ensure all works are carried out safely, adhering to HSE guidance and internal risk management policies.

·       Deputise for the Course Manager during periods of absence.

## Requirements

-   Previous experience in a senior greenkeeping role.
-   Level 3 qualification in Greenkeeping, Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
-   Strong knowledge of agronomy, irrigation, drainage and course presentation.
-   Relevant spraying qualifications, ideally PA1, PA2 and PA6.
-   Proven ability to supervise, motivate and develop a team.
-   Experience in course improvement or construction projects.
-   Hands-on, organised and committed to high standards.
-   Flexible to work early mornings, weekends and bank holidays.
