Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled **Field Service Engineer** to join our expanding service team.

**The Role**

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing welding and cutting equipment at customer sites across the UK and some in the EU. You’ll play a key role in supporting ESCCO’s reputation for high-quality technical service and customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Installation and commissioning of welding and cutting equipment (MIG, TIG, plasma, automation and cobot systems)
-   Servicing, fault-finding, and repair of industrial welding equipment and associated systems
-   Carrying out routine maintenance, calibration, and testing
-   Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and control system faults
-   Supporting customers with technical advice and training where required
-   Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
-   Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company and industry standards
-   Representing ESCCO professionally on customer sites

## Requirements

**Key Requirements**

-   Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or Service Technician (industrial equipment, welding, CNC, or similar)
-   Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
-   Experience with welding processes (MIG/TIG/Arc/Plasma) is highly desirable
-   Knowledge of automation systems, robotics or fume extraction systems (advantageous)
-   Full UK driving licence
-   Strong customer-facing and communication skills
-   Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

**Desirable Skills**

-   Previous experience with leading welding brands (e.g. ESAB, Fronius, Miller, Hypertherm)
-   Understanding of LEV testing or fume extraction systems
-   Engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC, HND or equivalent)
-   PLC or automation exposure
-   Electrical qualification
