### Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant

**Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunities Available**

**Please note: Prior veterinary hospital experience is required for this position. Please do not apply if you do not have experience.**

Rancho Sequoia Veterinary Hospital is looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We are a busy veterinary hospital focused on providing high quality medicine while creating a positive experience for our patients, clients, and staff. We value teamwork, communication, reliability, and people who genuinely enjoy working with animals and their owners.

### What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and skill level, responsibilities may include:

-   Assisting veterinarians with examinations and treatments
-   Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats
-   Drawing blood and collecting laboratory samples
-   Running in house diagnostic testing
-   Preparing and administering medications and vaccines under veterinarian direction
-   Taking and assisting with digital radiographs
-   Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with procedures
-   Monitoring anesthesia and patient vital signs
-   Providing post-operative and hospitalized patient care
-   Maintaining accurate medical records
-   Educating and communicating with clients
-   Helping keep treatment areas organized, stocked, and ready for patient care

We're looking for someone who already has hands on veterinary hospital experience and is comfortable working in a clinical environment.

## Requirements

### Requirements:

-   Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician/Nurse required
-   Valid Veterinary Technician/Nurse certification, a plus (but not required)
-   Excellent technical skills, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and laboratory techniques
-   Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care
-   Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-   Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
-   Flexible schedule
-   Passion for animals and dedication to providing exceptional care
