### Overview of the role

We are looking for a **Software Engineer II** to support our **AI platform and microservices ecosystem**.  
The role involves building **RESTful APIs using Python and .NET Core**, contributing to **AI-enabled workflows (RAG, LLM integrations)**, and working closely with frontend and platform teams under the guidance of **Lead AI Engineers**.

## Requirements

### What you’ll do

-   Design, develop, and maintain **RESTful APIs** using **Python (FastAPI / Flask / Django)** and **.NET Core (ASP.NET Core)**.
-   Build backend services within a **microservices architecture**.
-   Contribute to **AI-enabled services**, including:

-   LLM integrations
-   RAG pipelines (document ingestion, retrieval, response orchestration)

-   Integrate services with **Azure AI / Azure OpenAI**.
-   Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
-   Debug, optimize, and support production systems.

### What we’re looking for

### Backend & APIs

-   Strong experience in **Python and/or .NET Core**
-   Hands-on experience building **RESTful APIs** using **ASP.NET Core** and Python frameworks
-   Solid understanding of HTTP, REST principles, authentication (JWT / OAuth)
-   Experience working with **microservices**

### AI / Platform Exposure

-   Exposure to **AI / LLM services** (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, or similar)
-   Basic understanding of:

-   embeddings
-   vector search
-   Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

### Client-Side Exposure

-   Working knowledge of **any modern frontend framework**:

-   React / Angular / Vue

-   Ability to consume APIs and debug UI–backend interactions

### Good to Have

-   Exposure to **Azure cloud services**
-   Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/containers
-   Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
-   Understanding of AI service performance, latency, and cost considerations
