## Description

## Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative

**Location:** Hemel Hempstead  
**Working hours:** 6:30 am–4:00 pm

We are seeking a reliable Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative to help maintain outdoor areas and carry out street-care duties in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves using small plant and equipment safely and completing day-to-day grounds maintenance and litter-picking tasks.

### Key duties and equipment

-   Operate and carry out basic day-to-day maintenance of commercial hedge cutters, strimmers, rotary mowers and ride-on mowers.
-   Use horticultural hand tools for general gardening and grounds maintenance.
-   Carry out street-care duties using a hand broom and barrow.
-   Undertake litter picking and help keep outdoor areas clean and tidy.
-   Follow health and safety requirements and use the correct personal protective equipment (PPE).

## Requirements

### Essential requirements

-   Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining the equipment
-   Basic health and safety knowledge and the ability to use appropriate PPE.
-   A current LGV Class 2 driving licence.
