## Description

**Our Why**

Datacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people’s lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.

**About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced BI Developer to design, build and maintain reporting and analytics solutions. You will turn complex information into clear, meaningful insights, designing semantic models, reports and dashboards that support informed business decisions.

This is an opportunity to work with a broad range of data, solve complex reporting challenges and help strengthen confidence in the accuracy, reliability and value of business information.

Clearance: This role works with sensitive data and requires Baseline clearance. Applicants must be Australian citizens and must hold, or be eligible to obtain, this clearance. Candidates who already hold a current clearance will be prioritised given vetting lead times.

**What you'll do**

- Design, build, test and support reporting solutions — semantic models, dashboards, paginated reports and related Group Data deliverables in Power BI and Service Now.

- Design, own and maintain Power BI semantic models — model structure, DAX measures, refresh, row-level security and workspace/app deployment to internal and customer audiences.

- Facilitate metric definition workshops with process owners and service leadership; produce wireframes, agree measure definitions and targets, and translate them into build-ready specifications.

- Coordinate and deliver reporting requests raised by projects and business initiatives, from requirement through to release.

- Deliver reporting and dashboard training and support to internal teams and customer stakeholders, including live demonstrations and recorded enablement material.

- Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate development, testing, documentation and knowledge capture, within Datacom's security and data-handling standards.

- Communicate technical concepts and complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels, up to and including service, finance and programme leadership.

**What you'll bring**

- At least five years of experience designing, implementing and managing complex reporting environments in a corporate setting.

- Experience building reporting over ITSM data, ideally ServiceNow — incident, request, change, knowledge and event tables, SLA configuration, CMDB and catalogue structures — with the ability to reverse-engineer reporting logic from raw source tables.

- Deep hands-on Power BI expertise — semantic model design, advanced DAX, Power Query/M, row-level security, incremental refresh, performance tuning, and workspace/app deployment. Paginated reporting (Power BI Report Builder) is an advantage.

- Strong dimensional modelling and data warehousing skills — star schema design, fact and dimension granularity, and SQL against enterprise data sources.

- Experience delivering to schedules, work plans and agreed performance requirements.
