## Description

Egypt Education Platform is excited to announce the opening for a **Head of Department (HOD) for Science** at our **French School**. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader who is passionate about science education and will drive curriculum development and departmental standards while teaching in French.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Lead the Science Department, overseeing curriculum design and implementation in alignment with the French educational standards.
-   Facilitate and mentor science educators, providing support and guidance to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
-   Develop and deliver an inspiring curriculum that integrates inquiry-based learning and hands-on scientific experiences.
-   Monitor and evaluate the department's academic performance and create strategies for continuous improvement.
-   Promote a collaborative team environment, fostering professional development among staff through workshops, training sessions, and meetings.
-   Encourage parental involvement and engagement in the science curriculum, enhancing the educational experience for students.
-   Stay abreast of educational trends and innovations in science education, sharing insights with colleagues and incorporating relevant advancements into the curriculum.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
-   Fluency in French is required, with experience teaching science in the French language.
-   Valid teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, etc.) preferred.
-   A minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience in secondary science education, with leadership experience preferred.
-   Strong understanding of the French educational system and curriculum requirements.
-   Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-   Passion for science education and a commitment to student-centered learning.
