## Description

### Start conversations that can change how cities work.

Archistar is looking for a motivated and commercially minded **Sales Development Representative (SDR)** to join our growing North American team.

We're looking for someone who already has experience in GovTech, public-sector technology or selling into government and is ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll help introduce municipalities across North America to Archistar's world-leading AI PreCheck technology - technology designed to help cities modernise planning and building approvals, improve permitting and ultimately help get housing and development moving faster.

If you understand the government technology landscape, enjoy opening doors and building relationships, and want to work with technology that can make a genuine impact on communities, we'd like to meet you.

### The opportunity

As an SDR, you'll be at the front of Archistar's growth across North America.

Working closely with our Regional Sales Directors and broader Government Solutions team, you'll research markets, identify opportunities and decision-makers, and start meaningful conversations with municipalities across Canada and the United States.

You'll already understand that government sales are different.

Relationships matter. Timing matters. Procurement can be complex. And the best conversations start by understanding the customer's challenges rather than simply pitching a product.

This isn't about making hundreds of generic calls from a script. We want someone who can research a municipality, understand what's happening in its market and create a relevant reason to start a conversation.

### What you'll do

Research municipalities and government organisations across Canada and the United States to identify new opportunities.

- Identify and engage the people shaping planning, building, permitting, technology and digital transformation within cities.
- Develop new relationships through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events and targeted outbound campaigns.
- Start informed conversations about the challenges municipalities are facing and how technology can help.
- Qualify opportunities and work closely with our Regional Sales Directors to progress them.
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective customers across longer government buying cycles.
- Work with Sales and Marketing on targeted campaigns, events and market initiatives.
- Research new regions, government priorities and emerging opportunities across the GovTech market.
- Maintain disciplined CRM, pipeline and activity management.
- Develop a strong understanding of Archistar's technology and become great at explaining what makes it different.
- Bring ideas. We want someone who continually thinks about smarter ways to reach and engage customers.

## Requirements

### What we're looking for

You'll ideally bring:

- 2+ years' experience in sales development, business development or a similar commercial role, ideally within GovTech or public-sector technology.
- Experience engaging government or municipal customers and an understanding of how the public sector operates.
- Exposure to SaaS, enterprise technology, civic technology or digital government solutions.
- An understanding of government sales cycles, stakeholders and procurement environments.
- Experience prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
- Confidence communicating with senior and operational government stakeholders by phone, email and LinkedIn.
- Strong research skills and the ability to turn information about a prospective customer into a relevant conversation.
- Experience working with CRM and sales engagement tools.
- A track record of working towards and achieving activity, pipeline or opportunity targets.

Experience within permitting, planning, land management, building approvals, GIS, regulatory technology or municipal software would be particularly valuable.

### You'll thrive at Archistar if you...

- Enjoy opening doors and building markets.
- Understand that good business development is about creating the right conversations, not simply generating activity.
- Genuinely care about customers and take the time to understand what they're trying to achieve.
- Are persistent and comfortable developing relationships over longer government sales cycles.
- Are curious about cities, technology, AI and how government services can be improved.
- Are ambitious and want to continue developing your career in enterprise and government technology sales.
- Enjoy being part of a motivated, collaborative team where people work together to get things done.
