## Description

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced and compassionate professional to lead and support transition-based programming designed for students who are blind or visually impaired. This position plays a key role in coordinating daily program operations, supervising staff, and assisting students in building independence, workplace readiness, and skills necessary for successful post-secondary outcomes.

### Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-   Manage the day-to-day operation of summer and transition programming, including activity planning, scheduling, curriculum implementation, and student support coordination.
-   Support students with visual impairments by encouraging independent living skills, accessibility awareness, career exploration, and college/workplace preparedness.
-   Provide supervision and direction to program staff, mentors, and support personnel through ongoing communication, coaching, and performance feedback.
-   Work collaboratively with students to create, implement, and monitor Career-Focused Placement Plans (CFPPs) and employment-related objectives.
-   Coordinate program workshops, transportation arrangements, special events, and family engagement initiatives.
-   Maintain accurate program records, billing information, reports, and other required documentation in accordance with agency standards and state regulations.
-   Serve as a liaison between students, families, CBVI representatives, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure positive participant outcomes.
-   Evaluate overall program effectiveness and recommend operational or programmatic improvements when appropriate.

### **Schedule**

-   Hours will follow in response to program requirements
-   Schedule is flexible but typically during the daytime hours
-   Candidates must be available for recruitment efforts and fully commit to the three-week camp session

### **Compensation**

-   The annual salary is $60,000

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   High School Diploma or GED required.
-   Minimum of two (2) years of related experience required.
-   Prior experience working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired is required.
-   Experience within transition services, education, vocational programming, or a related field preferred.
-   Previous experience coordinating programs, supervising staff, and supporting students strongly preferred.
-   Ability to complete and maintain all required pre-employment and ongoing screenings, including criminal background checks, Central Registry checks, CARI checks, and drug screenings.
-   Proficiency with standard office software, Google Workspace, and general computer systems required; experience with assistive technology is a plus.
