**Residence Counselor- Full Time**

### **Please join us for open interviews for the Residence Counselor position:**  
**Rescheduled date of Thursday, August 6th**  
**10:00am-12:00pm**  
**201 Nott Terrace, Schenectady, NY**

Responsibilities of the Residence Counselor are to provide services to adults who have a diagnosis of mental illness and living in a group home.  Specific duties of the Residence Counselor included:

-   Provide supportive counseling;

-   Providing rehabilitation skills such as teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention;

-   Recreation activities for socialization and stress reduction; and

-   Maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients, ensuring clients are doing their chores correctly and assisting with cleaning activities. 

-   Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.

-   Provide transportation to clients using the agency’s vehicles.

## Requirements

Skills/Qualifications for the Residence Counselor include:

-   High school diploma required, college classes in human services preferred.
-   Demonstrated ability in helping others.
-   Valid and insurable driver's license. Agency vehicles are available for transporting clients. 
-   Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness or other human service experience.
-   Both the ability to work independently and as a team member.
-   Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
-   The ability to be organized and have good time management skills.

**Jones Home Schedule and Salary**

**$21.46/hour, 40 hours per week. $44,636.80/annual equivalent.**

Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm

Monday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Tuesday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Wednesday 9:00am-5:00pm

Thursday 11:00am- 7:00pm

Friday and Saturday- Off

**1574 Union Residence Salary and Schedule:**

**$21.46/hour, 40 hours per week. $44,636.80/annual equivalent.**

Sunday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Monday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Tuesday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Wednesday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Friday and Saturday Off

**Dominion House Salary and Schedule:**

**$22.08/hour; 40 hours per week; $45,926.40/annual equivalent.**

Saturday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm

Monday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Tuesday 2:00pm-10:00pm

Wednesday 9:00am-5:00pm

Thursday and Friday-Off
