## Description

Able to design and implement products on a subsystem level with high complexity and solve complex design problems while managing and coaching a design team within own competence. Able to provide design solutions for products and establish product specifications to satisfy internal and customer requirements, while following and executing the Product Generation Process through the entire product life cycle including factory support.

-   Determine requirements and specifications for complex modules on subsystem level to meet customer requirements in a cost-effective way.
-   Create and evaluate the feasibility of product design and processes with relevant software/techniques to generate respective specifications for complex modules on subsystem level such as 3D models including tolerances,2D drawings, potential test procedures
-   Support the production process to identify and solve design related issues for complex modules on subsystem level
-   Validate the requirements and coordinate qualification tests in the first proto's for complex modules on subsystem level.
-   Implement design changes 1) resulting in product- or process improvement; or 2) as a result of End Of Life for complex modules on subsystem level.
-   Incidentally manages small team of design engineers (1-4 pax) within own competence.
-   Independently carries out tasks and reports within the operational and functional organization.

## Requirements

-   Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on construction / precision mechanics
-   At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design in high precision/Semiconductor industry
-   Knowledge of mechanic design principles, accurate positioning, dynamic behavior, material properties, strength and stiffness
-   User of 3D design tools (e.g. NX or SolidWorks)
-   User of product lifecycle management systems (e.g. TeamCenter or EPDM)
-   Basic knowledge of FEA calculations in the area of mechanical design
-   Helicopter view, abstract thinking and ability to think out-of-the box
-   An effective communicator
-   Fluent in English, both speaking and writing
-   Willingness to travel overseas and cooperate with the European mother company
