## Description

**Position Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team. The Draftsperson will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models for metal fabrication projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Technical Drawings & Drafting

-   Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
-   Create fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and part details for metal components.
-   Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and safety requirements.
-   Review customer drawings and build a BOM for RFQs based on customer requests.
-   Create submittal packages and stamped drawings.

-   Manufacturing Support

-   Collaborate with engineers and production teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable drawings.
-   Provide clear instructions for fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
-   Revise drawings based on feedback from shop floor and quality control teams.

-   Quality & Compliance

-   Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
-   Maintain documentation and drawing records for future reference.
-   Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and other relevant standards.

-   Collaboration

-   Work closely with project managers, engineers, and production supervisors.
-   Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for manufacturability and cost efficiency.

## Requirements

**Qualifications**

-   Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
-   2-5 years of experience as a Draftsperson in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
-   Proficiency with CAD software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar tools.
-   Experience with metalworking processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and machining.
-   Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
-   Eligible to work in the United States.

**Preferred Skills**

-   Experience with sheet metal design and structural aluminum fabrication.
-   Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems used in manufacturing.

**Location:** Valley Cottage, NY (On-Site)

**Salary:** The salary range for this position, based in Valley Cottage, NY, is $65,000-$70,000 per year, plus incentives. The final salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
