We are seeking an experienced and motivated **Dietary Supervisor** to oversee the daily operations of our Dietary Department at our long-term care nursing facility in Staten Island, NY.

### **Responsibilities**

-   Supervise the daily operations of the Dietary Department
-   Lead, train, schedule, and support dietary aides, cooks, and food service staff
-   Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician-prescribed diets and resident preferences
-   Maintain compliance with Department of Health regulations, OSHA standards, and infection control policies
-   Monitor food quality, portion control, and meal presentation
-   Conduct kitchen inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
-   Assist with menu planning and special dietary accommodations in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian
-   Manage inventory, food ordering, and supply levels
-   Complete temperature logs, sanitation records, and department documentation
-   Work closely with Nursing, Administration, and other departments to ensure excellent resident care

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   **Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in the Dietary Department of a nursing home or long-term care facility (Required)**
-   Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition standards
-   Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health regulations
-   Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
-   Experience with scheduling and supervising dietary staff
