We’re currently seeking an **Occupational Therapist** to join a skilled nursing facility in **Salinas, CA**. Salinas, CA, known as the Salad Bowl of the World, is surrounded by the beauty of Monterey County and just a short drive from Carmel, Big Sur, and the Monterey Bay. It’s one of those places that really sticks with you.

### Details of the role:

-   Anticipated start date: Flexible
-   Salary range: **Up to $2,196 weekly**
-   Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks
-   Contract type: Travel, Permanent, or Travel-to-Perm
-   Schedule Options: Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat

### Clinical Duties:

-   Perform thorough resident evaluations and develop individualized OT treatment plans.
-   Deliver expert therapy to enhance independence in daily activities and movement.
-   Manage care for residents with orthopedic, neurological, and post-acute needs.
-   Instruct residents in adaptive techniques and proper use of assistive devices.
-   Partner with nursing and rehab staff to ensure cohesive care delivery.
-   Share treatment objectives and discharge planning with residents and families.
-   Document assessments, daily progress, and therapy notes accurately.
-   Track resident outcomes and refine interventions for maximum effectiveness.
-   Comply with facility standards and all applicable state regulations.

### Requirements:

-   Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
-   Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
-   Knowledge of post-acute rehabilitation, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment.
-   Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans.
-   Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
-   Proficient documentation and time management skills.
