## Description

**Job Overview:**

The Project Manager (Recycling/Shipbuilding) will lead and oversee various projects related to ship recycling and shipbuilding in Malaysia. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of maritime operations and environmental regulations to ensure that projects are delivered successfully and sustainably.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   **Project Leadership:** Manage and coordinate all phases of ship recycling and building projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
-   **Stakeholder Management:** Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, regulatory bodies, and project teams to ensure streamlined communication and project alignment.
-   **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure all operations comply with local and international environmental regulations regarding ship recycling and construction practices.
-   **Resource Management:** Allocate resources effectively, oversee procurement processes, and manage project teams to achieve operational efficiency.
-   **Risk Management:** Identify potential risks within projects and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks proactively.
-   **Reporting and Documentation:** Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, financials, and compliance, and prepare regular update reports for senior management.

## Requirements

**Qualifications:**

-   Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
-   Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the shipbuilding or ship recycling industry.
-   Strong knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and industry standards.
-   Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
-   Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-   Experience working with multicultural teams and suppliers.

**Desirable Traits:**

-   Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
-   Experience with sustainability practices in shipbuilding or recycling.
