## Description

**Ember Group Consulting** is a people-first management consulting firm partnering with leading healthcare and financial services organizations to drive meaningful transformation. We bring structured thinking, analytical rigor, and collaborative execution to complex, high-impact initiatives.

We are currently seeking a **Deal Modeling & Valuation Analyst** in Charlotte, NC to support our healthcare clients across M&A, corporate development, and transaction strategy initiatives.

**The Opportunity – Healthcare Transactions & Corporate Development**

This role will support healthcare executive leadership and corporate development teams in evaluating, structuring, and de-risking strategic transactions. You’ll sit at the intersection of financial modeling, valuation analysis, operational diligence, and executive-level decision support.

You will contribute across the transaction lifecycle — with an emphasis on early-stage valuation modeling, financial scenario analysis, and integration of third-party diligence findings.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to help shape investment decisions and long-term value creation for health systems, ambulatory platforms, joint ventures, and healthcare technology acquisitions.

**What You’ll Do**

**Financial Modeling & Valuation**

- Build and refine valuation and pro forma models to assess deal viability
- Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and downside case analyses
- Support evaluation of financial returns and capital deployment decisions
- Assist in reviewing and pressure testing seller models and synergy assumptions

**Transaction Support & Diligence**

- Incorporate findings from financial due diligence (e.g., Quality of Earnings, working capital, billing/coding audits) into deal models
- Support operational and financial risk assessments
- Contribute to synergy modeling and value creation analysis

**Executive Reporting & Insights**

- Develop clear, executive-ready financial summaries and deal scorecards
- Translate complex modeling outputs into strategic recommendations
- Support materials for leadership and board-level discussions

**Cross-Functional Collaboration**

- Partner with client corporate development, finance, legal, and integration teams
- Help coordinate inputs across workstreams
- Support transition from diligence into integration planning

## Requirements

- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience-
- Background in M&A, investment banking, Big 4 consulting, financial due diligence, or healthcare corporate development
- Exposure to healthcare provider transactions strongly preferred
- Experience building financial models and conducting valuation analysis

**Technical Capabilities**

- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
- Familiarity with valuation methodologies and scenario modeling
- Understanding of Quality of Earnings, working capital, and balance sheet analysis
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and synthesize key insights

**Professional Profile**

- Structured thinker with strong attention to detail
- Clear communicator with executive-ready writing skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, deal-oriented environments
- Collaborative and relationship-driven

**Education**

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- MBA, MHA, CPA, CFA, or FMVA a plus
