## Description

**Westview International Language School** is seeking a passionate and dedicated **Social Studies Teacher** for the academic year 2026-2027 to join our dynamic teaching team. This role is ideal for educators committed to fostering students' understanding of social sciences, history, geography, and civic education through engaging, student-centered teaching practices.

The successful candidate will deliver lessons that stimulate critical thinking, encourage inquiry, and promote awareness of social and cultural issues within a diverse student community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Plan and implement effective Social Studies lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
-   Create an inclusive and interactive classroom environment that engages students in discussions on history, geography, civics, and social issues.
-   Utilize varied teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
-   Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to encourage academic growth.
-   Encourage extracurricular activities related to social studies to deepen student understanding and interest.
-   Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum integration and share best teaching practices.
-   Maintain open communication with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
-   Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on educational trends and methodologies.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field.
-   Proven teaching experience in Social Studies at the secondary level is preferred.
-   Strong knowledge of social studies content including history, geography, and civics.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Ability to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
-   Ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
-   Commitment to continuous professional growth.
