Metroll is seeking an experienced and safety-focused **HC Truck Driver** to join our Rockhampton team.

Due to continued growth, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HC Driver looking for stable, long-term employment with a respected Australian company.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the **Operations Manager**, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of roofing and steel building products to customers across Rockhampton and surrounding regional areas.

This is a hands-on role that combines driving, customer service, and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating HC vehicles for local and regional deliveries  
• Loading, securing, and unloading steel products in accordance with safety requirements  
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and pre-start checks  
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time  
• Maintaining proof of delivery documentation and delivery records  
• Providing professional customer service at delivery sites  
• Assisting with yard and warehouse duties when required  
• Complying with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and load restraint requirements

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) licence  
• Previous experience operating HC vehicles  
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance  
• Understanding of load restraint and transport regulations  
• Good communication and customer service skills  
• A reliable, punctual, and self-motivated approach  
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Desirable**

• Current forklift licence  
• Experience within the steel, roofing, manufacturing, or building products industry  
• Previous experience with local and regional deliveries
