**Overview**

**Bassett Healthcare Network**, in Central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Total Joint Surgeon to join our staff.

-   **Salary Range: $650,000 - $750,000**
-   **Sign-on Bonus: up to $200,000**
-   **Location: Cooperstown, NY**

**Job Description & Responsibilities**

-   The division is looking for a surgeon with fellowship training in total joint arthroplasty to support the focused service line for hip and knee replacement surgery. Bassett is committed to building a superior center for total joint replacement in the upstate New York region. The position does require participation in general call coverage
-   Join an established group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC’s)
-   Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
-   Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
-   General Orthopedic Call Required 1:9 days - Dedicated Hospitalist for weekday coverage, shared call with whole Physician group – APC 1st call system in place
-   Joint Replacement Center located at AO Fox Hospital, a 40-bed acute care hospital
-   Referral Base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians
-   Full Support Staff including APC’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
-   Visa Sponsorship

## Requirements

-   MD, DO or MBBS
-   BC/BE in Orthopedics
-   Completion of an accredited USA orthopedic fellowship in total joint arthroplasty
-   New York Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
-   BLS Certification Required
-   Fellowship Trained
-   DEA Required

**Compensation**

-   Salary Range: $650,000 - $750,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards_

-   Sign-on Bonus: up to $200,000

-   Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment
