## Description

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Read and interpret construction drawings, reinforcement schedules, and specifications.
-   Cut, bend, position, and fix steel reinforcement bars (rebar) according to drawings.
-   Assemble reinforcement cages, beams, columns, slabs, walls, and foundations.
-   Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, tie, and secure reinforcement steel.
-   Ensure reinforcement is correctly positioned, aligned, spaced, and securely tied.
-   Install spacers, chairs, and supports to maintain the required concrete cover.
-   Work closely with steel fixers, carpenters, concrete workers, and site supervisors.
-   Check completed reinforcement work before concrete is poured.
-   Maintain tools and equipment and keep the work area clean and organised.
-   Follow site safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
-   Work at heights and in confined areas where required.

## Requirements

-   Previous experience as a **Steel Fixer/Rebar Worker** in construction.
-   Ability to read and understand reinforcement drawings and measurements.
-   Good knowledge of rebar cutting, bending, tying, and fixing techniques.
-   Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials.
-   Comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions.
-   Good attention to detail and accuracy.
-   Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-   Relevant construction/steel fixing training or certification is an advantage.
-   Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
