We are currently looking for a Junior Estimator for our Head Office in Maynooth.

**Main Responsibilities:**

-   Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
-   Prepare tender submissions, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and procurement schedules.
-   Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to gather essential cost information.
-   Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
-   Monitor market trends in materials, labour, and supply chain costs in Ireland and Europe.
-   Collaborate with project managers and commercial teams during the tender and post-tender phases.

-   Assess and manage risks associated with potential projects.
-   Assist in value engineering and cost-control exercises during project execution.
-   Maintain a database of cost information and assist in post-project reviews.
-   Provide input to the team in relation to project construction estimates/ cost plans
-   Prepare priced tenders with accuracy for return within deadlines
-   Undertake careful inspection of tender documents
-   Issuing enquiries and monitoring the enquiry process in line with deadlines
-   Update and manage estimating database on varying construction costs and material fluctuations
-   Pre and post tender meeting preparation
-   Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners
-   Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
-   Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time

## Requirements

-   A degree or diploma in **Quantity Surveying**, **Construction Management**, **Engineering**, or a related field.
-   1+ years of relevant experience in estimating roles within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
-   Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, procurement processes, and building regulations.
-   Proficient in estimating software (e.g., **Causeway**, **Buildsoft**, **Cubit**, **CostX**) and Microsoft Excel.
-   Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
-   Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
-   Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
