Studebaker Restoration is seeking a skilled and passionate Automotive Mechanic specializing in Classic Car Restoration to join our dedicated team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with vintage automobiles, applying your expertise to bring timeless classics back to life.

### Responsibilities

-   Perform detailed mechanical repairs and maintenance on classic and vintage automobiles.
-   Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components with precision to ensure authentic restoration.
-   Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues specific to classic car systems.
-   Collaborate with the restoration team to develop repair plans and timelines.
-   Diagnose and repair vintage engines, brakes, and electrical systems
-   Restore and maintain classic Studebakers and vintage vehicles
-   Perform engine rebuilds, brake and suspension work, and custom fabrication

## Requirements

-   3+ years of hands-on experience with classic vehicles
-   Strong knowledge of vintage systems including engines, transmissions, and electrical components. (pre-1980 systems)
-   Welding, fabrication, and diagnostic skills
-   Certification: ASE certification or similar is preferred
-   A genuine love for classics and the culture that surrounds them
-   Career-minded mechanics
-   Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with a focus on classic car restoration.
-   Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills specific to older vehicle technologies.
-   Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
-   Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
-   Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude towards teamwork.
-   Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
