We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing expenses, driving strategic recommendations for budgetary savings, and providing essential financial support to the business. Your expertise will help ensure the accuracy of financial data through continuous collaboration and cost tracking, while also meeting critical deadlines, particularly during period-end close, to deliver timely and reliable financial reports.
Key activities for OPEX and CAPEX Budgets
Monitor costs against budget for specific assets and departments.
Prepare Wells budget based on scheduled activities.
Contribute to and support period-end close activities in collaboration with the Finance team.
Perform detailed cost analysis and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Ensure the completeness and reliability of cost ledger information in SAP.
Provide proactive financial support to the business.
Generate timely accounts per well and manage releases in line with the budget, in coordination with Finance.
Deliver monthly financial reports to well management.
Ensure costs remain on target or identify and report any significant unexpected financial variances.

In-depth knowledge and practical experience in financial and cost accounting principles and practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform comprehensive variance analyses.
Proficiency in SAP CO reports and financial systems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong organizational abilities with a proven track record of delivering under tight deadlines.
Fluent in both English and French.
